Privacy policy

This site is operated by the Fix My EcoBoost campaign, a volunteer owner-advocacy project. Questions or requests: hello@fixmyecoboost.org.

What we collect

• What you enter in the form: name, email, state, vehicle details (model year, model, engine), VIN if you provide it, mileage, repair cost, answers about your experience, your story, and your consent choices.
• If you join the petition: your mailing address and confirmation that you are 18 or older.
• Technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address (used for spam and rate limiting; we do not store the IP itself) and your browser's user agent string.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in a private database hosted by Supabase. The site and form handler are hosted by Vercel, which processes requests and may keep standard server logs. The database is not publicly readable.

Who receives it

• NHTSA: only if you join the petition and consent. Your name and mailing address go into the filing, which becomes a public government record. Your story and VIN are included only if you check the separate box for that. Your email is never included.
• This site: your story may appear here anonymously only if you check that box.
• We do not sell your information. We do not share it with Ford, any law firm, or anyone else without your consent.

How long we keep it

We keep submissions while the campaign and petition are active and delete them within 12 months after the campaign ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Information already filed with NHTSA becomes part of a public government record that we cannot delete.

Your choices

To see, correct, or delete your submission, or to withdraw consent before a petition is filed, email hello@fixmyecoboost.org from the address you used. We will respond within 30 days.
